From Wikipedia: Flash Fiction - 'Flash fiction differs from vignettes in that the works contain the classic story elements: protagonist, conflict, obstacles or complications, and resolution. However, unlike a traditional short story, the limited word length often forces some of these elements to be unwritten, that is, hinted at or implied in the written storyline.'

In the case of 365tomorrows - Flash Fiction is a story of ideally 500 words, and new in the 3rd year a 600 word maximum.

I've been struggling with a piece that bears no resemblance to this one at all, and out of no where this one came and practically wrote itself.

First I want to say I'm a sucker for a good love story [happy or sad], and this definitely fits the bill. It's one of my favourites out of those I've <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/p…" width="15" height="16" alt=":+fav:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="194" title="+fav"/>. It's vivid and passionate, without the smut or awkward euphemisms you'd find in a lot of modern romance and erotic fiction, both amateur and published. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>

I love how different these two characters are, and the obvious chemistry that exists between them, despite their differences. I love her tenderness after his ordeal and the fact that she's willing to bring him back from the edge. This shows that, despite how lethal she is, she's trustworthy and loves him. And I love how he's willing to be with her, even though he's risking his life every time. It shows how much he trusts her, and would do anything for her.

Their relationship demonstrates that true love [not just desire] conquers all barriers, whereas if this was just a fling, I imagine only one of them would survive.

It's also good to see the female in the more dominant/aggressive [even dangerous] position, a role that [as I've observed] is usually given to the male in romance/erotica [and it's sub-genres].

Beautifully written with strong word choices, like all of your work, and I spotted no flaws in this piece, either. Once again you've inspired me. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/m/m…" width="15" height="15" alt=":meow:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="578" title="Meow :3"/>

Keep up the marvelous work. I can't wait to see what new work you might produce in the future. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
