I've been struggling with a piece that bears no resemblance to this one at all, and out of no where this one came and practically wrote itself.

ImpactFirst I want to say I'm a sucker for a good love story [happy or sad], and this definitely fits the bill. It's one of my favourites out of those I've <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/p…" width="15" height="16" alt="
" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="194" title="+fav"/>. It's vivid and passionate, without the smut or awkward euphemisms you'd find in a lot of modern romance and erotic fiction, both amateur and published. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="
" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/> I love how different these two characters are, and the obvious chemistry that exists between them, despite their differences. I love her tenderness after his ordeal and the fact that she's willing to bring him back from the edge. This shows that, despite how lethal she is, she's trustworthy and loves him. And I love how he's willing to be with her, even though he's risking his life every time. It shows how much he trusts her, and would do anything for her.
Their relationship demonstrates that true love [not just desire] conquers all barriers, whereas if this was just a fling, I imagine only one of them would survive.
It's also good to see the female in the more dominant/aggressive [even dangerous] position, a role that [as I've observed] is usually given to the male in romance/erotica [and it's sub-genres].
